Anthony's Eatalian Expands and Celebrates with Ribbon Cutting
Dallas, TX – August 19, 2024 - Almost two years ago, the LGBT Chamber office got a call from one of its members – Chef Robert Olson, chef and co-owner of Anthony’s Eatalian. He was excited about the opportunity to acquire a nearby space that was 2000 square feet larger than his current location, which he manages and operates with his husband Roman Figueroa since 2018. The prospective space was a Boston Market on the corner of Forest Lane and Cox Lane in North Dallas, in the same complex as their current Anthony’s. They were going to need an architect, designer, construction, and cash, and they needed to work fast.
The Chamber office got to work connecting Olson and Figueroa to bankers, architects, construction companies, and probably, most importantly, other local restauranteurs. As the Chamber is accustomed to our members supporting each other, restaurant owners were more than happy to advise and refer professional services to help Anthony’s Eatalian. Robert’s and Roman’s hard work paid off. Approximately 18 months later, the former Boston Market space on the corner of Forest Lane and Cox Lane in North Dallas has been transformed into a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The new location boasts nearly triple the space of their previous location, allowing for more seating, and an expanded patio. “We’re so proud of Robert and Roman and wish Anthony’s Eatalian continued success,” said Tony Vedda, President and CEO of the North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber plays a key role in connecting member businesses to essential resources to turn dreams into reality.”
On August 19th, Anthony’s Eatalian invited Chamber members, loyal customers, and their hardworking Dallas D-13 City Councilperson, Gay Willis to a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration. Guests enjoyed delicious food, craft-made cocktails and mocktails, and the chance to experience the new space firsthand. "We are so grateful for the support of the North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Councilperson Willis, and our amazing customers," said Chef Robert Olson. "This expansion allows us to continue serving our community the delicious food and warm hospitality they've come to expect from Anthony's Eatalian."
