North Texas LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, NGLCC & Grubhub to Present Community Impact Grants Supporting Local LGBTQ+ and Allied Restaurants
Dallas, TX (January 21, 2025) -- Grubhub, a leading online and mobile food-ordering and delivery marketplace with the largest and most comprehensive network of restaurant partners, and the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), the business voice of the LGBTQ+ community and certifying body for LGBTQ+-owned businesses nationwide, and the North Texas LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, are pleased to announce nine grant recipients in North Texas. The NGLCC Community Impact Grant Program, made possible by the Grubhub Community Fund, supports LGBTQ+ & Allied-owned restaurant businesses.
“We often say at NGLCC that if you can buy it, an LGBTQ+-owned business can supply it,” said NGLCC Co-Founder & President Justin Nelson. “That is especially true of the LGBTQ+-owned restaurants and establishments across America. We’re proud to again partner with Grubhub and North Texas LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce in offering grants to support businesses throughout the nation.”
The NGLCC’s network of more than fifty Affiliate Chambers across America, including the North Texas LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, helped amplify this grant opportunity to support local restaurants. Those local chambers will again benefit from this initiative’s Affiliate Chamber Fund. In addition to supporting local efforts to share the grant opportunity, this program has and will continue to enable any establishment that receives a grant that is not currently a member of an NGLCC local affiliate chamber to have one year of membership paid.
On January 23, a grant check presentation event will take place at Times Ten Cellars, 6324 Prospect Avenue, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM, to recognize the Grubhub Community Impact Program grant recipients.

“These grants represent more than an investment of $55,000 in 9 local LGBTQ+ owned and ally-owned businesses; they are an investment in the North Texas LGBTQ+ community,” said North Texas LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, Tony Vedda. “This is the third year for us to partner with Grubhub and the National LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce on this grant program. To date, the program has provided $140,000 of funding to twenty-one businesses in North Texas. We admire the hard work and innovation these establishments have demonstrated to remain sustainable despite the pandemic, rising costs, and competition for talent. The Chamber is here to help launch, grow, and sustain LGBTQ and ally-owned small businesses who are welcoming to all.”
“NGLCC has been an incredible partner to Grubhub, and it was a no-brainer to renew this program which has supported so many LGBTQ+-owned businesses across the country,” said Dave Tovar, Grubhub’s senior vice president of Communications and Government Relations. “We’ve heard so many stories of how independent restaurants have used these grants to do amazing things for their business and in their communities, and I’m excited to see what new and exciting things come out of the next group of grant recipients.”
